ABOUT KALON

Hi, I’m Kalon Navie.

I’m a creator, writer, artist, dreamer, and a woman who is constantly becoming a new version of herself.

I’m naturally a very private person. I don’t always let people completely into my world, so this space is my way of opening the door just a little.

I love creating. Music, writing, fashion, storytelling, film, movement—if it gives me a way to express something I’m feeling or imagining, I’m probably going to try it. I’ve never wanted to put myself into one box. I want the freedom to explore every part of who I am.

But underneath all of the creativity, I’m actually pretty simple.

I love God. I love deeply. I care about people. I’m goofy, sensitive, curious, ambitious, and probably somewhere dreaming up my next idea. I can be quiet when you first meet me, but there is an entire universe happening inside my head.

Life has changed me many times. I’ve experienced grief, heartbreak, loneliness, uncertainty, and seasons where I had to completely rebuild myself. Those experiences didn’t make me stop dreaming—they made me more intentional about the woman I want to become.

I’m still figuring things out.

I’m learning to take care of myself.
I’m learning discipline.
I’m learning confidence.
I’m learning to trust people again.
I’m learning when to stay and when to walk away.
I’m learning to enjoy my life while I’m building it.

And most importantly, I’m learning that becoming who God created me to be doesn’t happen overnight.

So this website isn’t about presenting a perfect version of me.

It’s a home for everything I’m becoming—my music, my ideas, my art, my stories, my experiments, my failures, my victories, and whatever I decide to create next.

If you found your way here, welcome to my little world.

I’m Kalon. And I’m still becoming.

My Story

My story isn't a straight line.

I've had to start over more times than I ever imagined I would.

I was born and raised in Rochester, New York, and for a long time, I was simply trying to understand where I belonged in this world. I've always been creative, sensitive, observant, and full of ideas—but I've also spent much of my life keeping those parts of myself private.

Life taught me early that things can change without warning.

I've experienced grief that changed me, including losing my mother. I've experienced heartbreak, disappointment, loneliness, being misunderstood, and moments when I didn't recognize the person looking back at me anymore.

There were chapters when I withdrew from the world.

And somewhere in that quiet, I started meeting myself.

Not the version of me other people expected. Not the person I thought I had to become to be accepted.

Me.

I started realizing that maybe my life wasn't falling apart.

Maybe I was being rebuilt.

THE BECOMING

Eventually, life brought me into a new chapter in New York City.

But I've learned that changing your surroundings doesn't automatically change what's happening inside of you.

I still had healing to do.

I had to learn how to take care of myself, become disciplined, rebuild my confidence, create healthier relationships, strengthen my faith, manage my finances, and stop waiting until I felt completely ready to start living.

So I started trying things that scared me.

I walked into gyms when I didn't feel like the person who belonged in them.

I stepped into martial arts.

I explored movement and different ways of becoming stronger.

I traveled.

I started creating music.

I wrote.

I designed.

I dreamed bigger.

And little by little, I started becoming the woman I had spent years imagining.

That's when I realized:

Transformation isn't one giant moment.

It's choosing yourself again and again in hundreds of small moments nobody else sees.

WHY I CREATE

Creativity became one of the ways I learned to process my life.

Sometimes I can say something in a song that I could never explain in a conversation.

Sometimes it's a photograph.

Sometimes it's clothing.

Sometimes it's a journal.

Sometimes it's a story.

Sometimes it's an entire world that exists only inside my imagination until I decide to bring it to life.

I don't believe I was created to be only one thing.

I want to make music.

I want to write.

I want to make films.

I want to create beautiful things.

I want to travel.

I want to build.

I want to help people.

I want to experience as much of this life as God allows me to experience.

I don't want fear deciding the size of my life.

MY FAITH

Through everything, my relationship with God remains at the center of my story.

I don't have every answer.

There have been things I've prayed for that didn't happen the way I wanted. There have been people I wanted to keep who weren't meant to stay. There have been seasons I didn't understand until much later—and some I'm still learning from.

But I'm realizing that faith isn't always knowing what happens next.

Sometimes faith is simply continuing.

Continuing to love.

Continuing to create.

Continuing to believe.

Continuing to become.

WHO I AM NOW

I'm still a work in progress.

I'm still private.

I'm still sensitive.

I'm still goofy.

I'm still learning how to let people into my world.

I'm still healing.

I'm still becoming healthier, stronger, wiser, more disciplined, more confident, and more grounded.

And I don't think I'll ever reach a point where I say, “Okay, I'm finished becoming.”

That's the beauty of it.

Kalon isn't the woman who has everything figured out.

Kalon is the woman willing to keep becoming.

My past is part of me, but it doesn't get to decide where my story ends.

There are still songs I haven't written.

Places I haven't seen.

People I haven't met.

Ideas I haven't created.

Dreams I haven't lived.

And versions of myself I haven't met yet.

This isn't the story of someone who made it to the finish line.

It's the story of a woman who decided she wasn't going to give up on herself.

And I'm just getting started.
